The New York Times called it a “calming elixir," and sure, "Golden Milk" or a "Golden Latte" just sounds like something you should want, but why? And what is the "gold" that makes them so good? We are all about demystifying anything tea related, so read on and your questions will be answered!
What is a Golden Latte?
A Golden Latte is simply a milk (or milk alternative) based beverage made with powdered turmeric root. Turmeric alone can be, well, kind of intense in flavor, so we've balanced it out with ginger, rooibos and spices in our Two Roots Turmeric Ginger Latte Mix. It's both tasty and good for you! These super ingredients are consumed for their antioxidants, as well as their anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties.
In Two Leaves and a Bud’s Two Roots Turmeric Ginger Latte Mix, the healthy ingredients shine – there's just 4 grams of sugar per serving and nothing artificial; just all good, clean ingredients. We like to say that our turmeric latte mix is the Goldilocks of Golden Lattes: just sweet enough to be tasty, but you can still add a little honey, agave, maple syrup, or flavored syrups like vanilla, and not be worried about your sugar intake. It's just right!

How to Prepare the Perfect Turmeric Latte at Home
Heat 10-12 oz milk with 1 heaping Tbsp. (14g) of Two Roots Turmeric Ginger Latte Mix on the stove until hot but not boiling. While it's heating, stir well to mix in the turmeric blend. If you have a hand-held electric frother or even an emulsifier, you can give it a zap once it's hot to create some froth for your latte.
Try it iced too! Prepare as above; chill in the fridge; pour over ice. It will need a good stir as the real herbs and spices will linger at the bottom of the cup.
