Community in a Cup

The Two Leaves Community spans 32 countries encompassing tea lovers, tea and coffee shops, tea growers, and numerous non-profits and local organizations. We believe that a great cup of tea brings more to everyone along this chain. Tea gardens and growers appreciate that our consumers love their best-quality organic teas; and at the other end our tea lovers get, well, great yummy tea.

Giving Back

We are privileged to live and work in a wonderful mountain environment. We feel part of this privilege is the responsibility to give back. In 2023, Two Leaves donated directly or in-kind over $7,800 towards local, Colorado, and National organizations. Our giving is focused on environmental responsibility, outdoor education and local youth efforts.

- 9,000 ft of trails maintained

- 52 Volunteer hours

- $2,732 In-kind donations to local and educational groups

National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS)

NOLS was founded in 1965 by legendary mountaineer Paul Petzoldt. NOLS takes students of all ages on remote wilderness expeditions, teaching technical outdoor skills, leadership and environmental ethics in the world’s wildest and most awe-inspiring classrooms.

Why we care: NOLS had a big hand in fostering the values of our CEO and founder, Richard Rosenfeld. He has served as a NOLS instructor since 1997, and he feels that lessons learned in nature can often be applied to our everyday personal and work lives. Are we perfect partners? Sip a cup of tea in the great outdoors, then let us know what you think!

Our part: One percent of sales of our Alpine Berry herbal tea sachets is donated to support a NOLS scholarship.

Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers (RFOV)

Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers promotes stewardship of our public lands by engaging our community in education, restoration and conservation projects.

Why we care: We love where we live, and we want to care for it and engage with our community. From volunteering locally to using eco-friendly packaging, we strive to be good stewards of our planet and to help where we can. We celebrate the stewardship of our beautiful landscape and recognize the positive impacts it has on our community and our team.

Our part: We are proud Adopt-a-Trail sponsors of the Arbaney-Kittle Trail in Basalt, CO. Two times a year the Two Leaves and a Bud team don work gloves and swing pick-axes with RFOV (with tea breaks of course), working on a variety of trail maintenance tasks.

WE-Cycle

WE-Cycle is a nonprofit that provides accessible and affordable bicycles for transportation and to facilitate seamless connections to other transportation options in and around Aspen, Basalt, and the Roaring Fork Valley.

Why we care: Richard is an enthusiastic cyclist. In fact, he toted his folding Brompton bike all over the world for years, first discovered bike-sharing in Paris, and now uses local bike-sharing programs wherever he travels. We share WE-Cycle’s vision: a world in which increased bike and multi-modal transportation use fosters more livable, vibrant, healthy, and environmentally-engaged communities.

Our part: Richard serves on the board of WE-Cycle, so Two Leaves has sponsored bicycles, bike stations and passes for our team members.

Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC)

We love getting outdoors in winter and that is one of the reasons why Two Leaves and a Bud supports the Friends of CAIC. Backcountry skiing and travel is growing in popularity and proper precautions are needed to fully respect the power of the wilderness and stay safe while having fun.

Why we care: The Friends of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center is a non-profit created to support the CAIC (Colorado Avalanche Information Center), while contributing to avalanche awareness and education throughout Colorado.

Our part: Two Leaves supports their efforts by providing funding and delicious tea for educational workshops teaching winter safety for outdoor enthusiasts.
