          Little or none rice flavor

I was disappointed with this Gen Mai Chi because there is no rice aroma or taste. I tried different times and multiple tea packets but no rice flavor.

Devastated this tea is being retired

I’m a gen mai cha devotee and this is my fave by far. The taste is lovely and the caffeine level is just right for me. With others, I have to be vigilant about steep time or the tea (and me) gets too caffeinated. It’s the perfect blend of nutty taste and ‘pick me up.’ I’m stocking up! Hoping it will be released at some point soon... (hint, hint.)

          Great value!

Gen Mai Cha is one of my go-to's so seeing this was significantly cheaper than my typical loose leaf brand I had to give it a try. Being a third of the price I'm used to I questioned if it would be as good but it's everything I expect from a gen mai cha - nutty, warm, bold, smooth. What a wonderful find!

          Earthy, smooth, and nutty

Gen Mai Cha is an acquired taste. Two Leaves has a great loose leaf of this sencha tea. I think the sweetness even has hints of vanilla or tapioca. I brew mine for 2.5 minutes.

This is probably my favorite tea. This gem mai cha is truly the best I've tasted. Perfect green tea with a nutty, toasted finish. YUM!

          Pleasantly Surprised

It sounds really weird, having rice in your tea, and I was hesitant to try it, but it's actually pretty good. If you've ever tried rice drinks before, imagine something like that.

I love this tea. The toasty rice adds an extra element that I find really comforting, substantial and tasty. Makes me savor every sip. Definitely worth a try if you've never had it before.

I love genmaicha in general but this is weak, I brewed it for 10 minutes and it still tasted like water with a faint hint of green tea. Definitely not worth it :(
