Description

This Darjeeling tea is a blend of mostly first flush with some 2nd flush. What's a "flush"?  Darjeeling, India sits in the high foothills of the Himalaya. It gets cold enough there that tea stops growing in the Fall. In the Spring, the first growth is called the First Flush. First Flush Darjeelings are prized the world over - they are very very light in color but can have exquisite flavor that varies with every day’s harvest. The 2nd flush is slightly darker and bolder.

short-description:
Strong but sensitive — we like that in a tea. Our Darjeeling has light, but rich, body with floral overtones.
brewing-tip-1:
Darjeeling makes a great late morning / afternoon tea.
brewing-tip-2:
Try adding lemon to your cuppa’ Darjeeling.
brewing-tip-3:
Don’t let your tea snob friends know if you add milk and sugar to this refined tea.
brewing-tip-4:
This is a great tea to pair with dessert, if you can handle a bit of caffeine.
brewing-tip-5:
As this tea cools, it's just as yummy. Try it at room temp or iced.

Darjeeling tea is not all that popular in America because it's so light in the cup. However the complex flavors are wonderful. I love the astringency and floral overtones.

Do not let the reviews and description of "green" tea throw you...this is a wonderful black tea. Assam has always been my favorite but tried this on a whim...and now it is my first choice.

Green tea has never appealed to me. Because all of the Two Leaves teas are so good, I decided to give this a try and am so glad I did. This is a lovely delicate tea when you don't want something too strong. A lovely afternoon tea.

This is a beautiful tea. I usually drink stronger teas (like Assam Breakfast) with milk the English way, but later in the day I don't want a flavor that strong. The Darjeeling has a delicate but very brisk flavor -- definitely don't want to put milk in it -- and the whole tea leaves in the sachet bring out all of the subtle flavors in this great tea.

This is my favorite tea. I drink a cup several times each day. This is by far the best Darjeeling I have ever had.

A box of this was given to us around five years ago! I recently started getting into tea, and this is just amazing. It is still good, so refreshing. I will have to order more from Two Leaves

This is my new favorite black tea. I love that it is flavorful and brisk without being malty. I highly recommend this tea!!!

This is not mt favorite. It has a musky taste. However, I never had any other darjeeling so I may not like that kind of tea. If you like a bold tea I really love the two leaves assam.

In the afternoon when I get home from work this is the tea I am looking forward to. Aroma, light flavor profile, not too harsh with tannin. Just a nice comfortable cup of tea.

I really liked this tea but found that Farmers Brothers Darjeeling was so much more reasonably priced! You can buy a box of 100 for about $5.50 sorry thats a big difference!
